Recruiting LDCA Directors

 The LDCA is currently recruiting Directors for openings on our Board of Directors due to retirements. LDCA Directors serve for a 2-year term (renewable) running from February 2016 – 2018.

What we require of you:

• Your time. There is one Board Meeting per month, the duration varies but, 2.5 hours is a good estimate plus 1 – 1.5 hours to prepare. We also look to our Board members to participate in one or more of our various committees.

• Your willingness to be an LDCA Ambassador both in the community and the industry. Our Board members are our sales force.

• The ability to represent the LDCA, our members and the Industry over the interests of your own company.

•  A willingness to “think out of the box” and provide an enthusiastic contribution to your Association

The Qualifications:

• An outstanding member of the local construction industry who is performing at senior levels within your company.

•  Part of an organization that is currently or will be a member of the Association and whose organization is located within the LDCA Operating area of Perth, Huron, Middlesex, Norfolk, Elgin, Oxford Counties or the City of London.

NOTE: The LDCA, as a Mixed Trade, Local Construction Association endeavors to balance our Board of Directors across a broad spectrum of interests (Union/Non-Union, Supplier/Sub-Trade/General Contractor).

• You are joining a dynamic Board of Senior Construction Industry practitioners. The networking opportunities are huge.

•  You will be at the heart of the industry. Breaking news regarding the Construction Industry, locally, provincially and nationally happens first at the LDCA Board.

• Some current and former Board members have been Directors for over 25 years. This happens because of a desire to really contribute to the industry beyond just working in the industry.

• You will be directly able to influence the direction of the industry whether that is technology, government relations, legislation, training or whatever.
