2025 Member of Distinction John Harris

Dedication to the LDCA and the construction industry and A Lifetime of Community Building

Johns career in the construction industry began in his early 20s at Ontario Door Controls. He later worked at The Woollatt and Pro Able, where he had a small ownership stake before starting his own consulting business. He is now employed by JPW Systems.

John has been a committed member of the LDCA for more than 30 years. He served two terms as Chair of the Board of Directors and spent two decades as a Director. He was also actively involved with the LDCA Entertainment Committee, and the Golf Committee. John is also a strong advocate for the benefits of LDCA membership by recruiting new members for the association.

John is widely respected as an advocate for the construction industry. He campaigned for prompt payment and spoke to Queens Park about this issue.

John's nomination highlights his lifelong commitment to community service.

Volunteering at a soup kitchen with his parents
Coaching hockey for ten years
Donating annually to the Salvation Army toy drive.
Working tirelessly to support Business Cares Food Drive on behalf of the LDCA
Project Managing the London Food Bank Upgrades
Taking an active role in the Container Garden Initiative.
John recently accepted a position as a member of the Board of the London Food Bank.

John is widely respected for his contributions both within and outside of the construction industry. He has strong connections in the London, Ontario area, as evidenced by the fact that he has established connections in every corner of the city, around the region and he is known as a ‘Man about Town’.by both friends and colleagues.
