Jock Tinsdale memorial AWARD - WESTERN UNIVERSITY
Awarded to a student entering fourth year in the faculty of Engineering at Western University. This student must demonstrate a serious interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry or as a consulting engineer and should have shown an improvement in academic performance in the year preceding the receipt of the award. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated work experience in the construction industry. Established through the generosity of the London and District Construction Association.
Students must have a minimum of 80%-year weighted average in the previous year

LONDON & DISTRICT CONSTRUCTION ASSOCIATION AWARD - FANSHAWE COLLEGE
This Award is presented to an individual currently attending Fanshawe College
, who meets the following criteria:

Successfully completion of the final level (final semester) of the Construction Engineering Technology (Management)
program
-
Attended on a full-time basis.
-
Maintained a minimum 2.0 GPA (cumulative)
-
Demonstrates that he or she is the most improved student
The award recipient will be selected by the Program Coordinator & approved by the Manager of Student Awards.

LONDON & DISTRICT CONSTRUCTION ASSOCIATION WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION (WIC) AWARD
This award was established to encourage and support students in the Building Technology, Construction Technology Management Program
at Fanshawe College
.
Presented to a female student who:
-
Completed the first year and entering the second year of the Construction Technology Management program.

Achieved a minimum 3.5 Grade Point Average.
-
Demonstrates keen interest in the program through active participation in classes.
-
The applicant must submit a one-page type written essay describing "what inspired you to choose a career in the construction industry & where do you aspire to be within the field".
The award recipient will be selected by the Program Coordinator & approved by the Manager of Student Awards.

YOUNG CONSTRUCTION LEADERS - LONDON EDUCATION AWARD
Established in 2014 by London and District Construction Associations' Young Construction Leaders, (formerly Young Construction
Executives Committee).
To qualify, applicants must:
-
Be graduating with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
-
Have taken previous technology courses.
-
Submit a 500-word (approximate) essay, explaining why he/she should receive the scholarship. This essay must include a minimum of two examples of how the student has demonstrated interest in, and commitment to, the construction
sector.
-
Be enrolled in Canadian post-secondary education(diploma or degree) in a construction related, architectural, engineering, management, technology, or trade program.
-
Demonstrate and interest in, and commitment to construction.
-
Demonstrate qualities of leadership, shown throughout their school career, extracurricular activities, community involvement and/or part time work.
Please include a resume highlighting your achievements and community contributions.
Selection Process:
Students meeting the criteria are encouraged to submit their application through the Thames Valley School Board Foundation
The final selection of recipients is made by the members of the YCL Executive Committee.
