August was defined by four landmark apartment permits that together accounted for $329.00M — 80.6% of the month's construction value. The single largest, a foundation permit for a 645-unit apartment complex at 1061 Wellington Rd ($213.09M) — the largest permit recorded in this report series to date — was issued during the Aug 10–16 week, which alone totalled $236.35M, 58% of August's activity. The month's second-largest permit, a shell permit for a 93-unit apartment building at 420 Callaway Rd ($66.62M), was issued during the Aug 3–9 week alongside two more apartment permits: a 65-unit foundation permit at 2009 Wharncliffe Rd S ($27.29M) and a 176-unit shell/change-of-use permit at 383 Richmond St ($22.00M). Excluding these four permits, the remaining 370 permits issued in August still totalled ~$79.30M, broadly in line with a typical month's non-featured activity.
