| | All Ontario workers and supervisors must complete a basic occupational health and safety awareness training program. Our course assists employers in fulfilling this obligation by providing workers with information about their rights and responsibilities as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as well as the importance of safety in the workplace. Our content aligns with the requirements outlined in the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development workbook. Learning ObjectivesBy the end of the course, learners will be able to: - Describe the duties of the various workplace parties within the Internal Responsibility System
- Explain the right to know about hazards in your workplace
- Recognize when a worker cannot be reprised
- Identify common workplace hazards
- List ways to participate in health and safety at your workplace
- Recognize when someone might exercise their right to refuse unsafe work
- Identify external resources that are available to you for workplace health and safety
